Hedera helix, Ivy, is a vigorous, fast-growing, flourishing, evergreen vine.

Flowers are greenish-yellow riuniti in ombrelle sferiche and fruits are berries d’apprima verdi, poi rossastre e nero-bluastre a maturità. I semi sono oblunghi, rugosi e rossicci.

Tutta la pianta è tossica, soprattutto i frutti che contengono vari glucosidi tra cui l’ederina.
